A magnificent and very large pair of antique Minton porcelain Pate Sur Pate vases with multi-paneled neoclassical scenes. In a gorgeous neoclassical style Amphora form with an olive green body, further adorned with beautiful multicolored red, blue and orange pate sur pate carvings. The vases are finished in 24-karat gilt decoration. The impeccable pate sur pate neoclassical motifs of cupids and nymphs playing in the woods are truly exceptional in quality. On the reverse of the main panel is a putto catching butterflies or shooting arrows. Signed by the famous Pate Sur Pate artist, Henry Hollins who was a former apprentice of Marc-Louis Solon. Marc-Louis Solon was the leading expert for the pate sur pate technique while working for Minton.
