A Chinese export 'canton famille rose' or 'rose medallion' or 'rose mandarin' large center bowl/punch bowl, mid-19th century, in the 'Rose Medallion' pattern, the exterior and interior typically enameled and gilt with panels of court figures within key fret and dense Foliate border. Although it is very rare to find a center bowl in this massive scale, the quality of the enameling is truly exceptional. 18.5" (47 centimeters) diameter.
