A baluster shaped 17/18th c. Imari vase of large size with gilt bronze top and base. The 19th century base in Louis XV style with scrolling feet, lion masks with rings, foliates and a central turquoise enamel with initials in gold. The vase is drilled. The gilt bronze is signed V.P Paillard, listed bronzier in Bronzes Dores Francais du XVIII Siecle by Pierre Verlet. Paillard executed this work in the 19th century. The vase and base measure 36.5 inches in height, the vase itself measures 25.5 inches
